both must be changed to Improper Fractions. Then the

Numerators and the Denominators are Multiplied.

Multiplying with a Whole Number or a Mixed Number
Change any Whole Number to an Improper Fraction.

Change any Mixed Number to an Improper Fraction.

Multiply the Numerators to find the New Numerator.

Multiply the Denominators to find the new New Denominator.

Change the resulting Improper Fraction to a Mixed Number.

If the Proper Fraction can be Reduced, then do so.
